Good to be back!
Welcome back! I hope you have all had a fantastic summer break and enjoyed some family time together. The children have all returned to school and look fantastically smart. Thank you for ensuring that the children all have the correct uniform.
Over the summer term, we have had building work carried out which has seen a new toilet block situated near the Hall, the Rocket Room has now moved to what was the Year 6 classroom and some additional rooms have been created to afford us some additional teaching spaces. Staff have worked hard during the last week to ensure that the school is all dust free and ready for the children to start. I would like to take the opportunity to welcome 2 new members of staff to the Welbourne team. Mrs Begum who is supporting in our Reception classroom and Mrs Travers who will be supporting in the Rocket Room. We also say a ‘big hello’ to our new reception children who are starting their time at Welbourne and we are so pleased to have you join the Welbourne family.
Please add the diary dates to your calendars as the term kicks off with plenty of exciting activities. As is always the case, we operate an open door policy at Welbourne Primary Academy whereby you are able to speak directly to your class teacher upon drop off or collection. In some instances a longer conversation may be needed in which case we can always arrange for a mutually convenient time for this to take place. We value your opinions and recognise the importance of working together to support your child within school.
